What does "Skura" mean? +

The word skura is Swedish for "scour" or "scrub". The Skura Style brand is inspired by Scandinavian design sensibility, but is manufactured and distributed in the USA.

What are the materials in a Skura Style sponge? +

Skura Style sponges are a combination of a patented foam base that is highly absorbent with excellent wipe-dry performance, a premium non-abrasive coating for scouring, and an antimicrobial agent in the foam and scouring coating that inhibits the growth of odor-causing bacteria, mold and mildew.

How often should I change my Skura Style sponge? +

Skura sponges are designed with a Fade-to-Change® technology that tells you when it’s time to replace your sponge. Depending on the frequency of use, the printed Skura Style monogram will begin to fade as an indicator that it’s time to replace your sponge. Replacement is recommended every one or two weeks.

How quickly should I expect the monogram to fade? +

The monogram fades with use. It depends on the number of times you use your sponge. Most households will experience a Fade-to-Change® indication at about one week. However, scouring coarse items and crusty baked foods can accelerate the fade. The Fade-to-Change® technology was determined based on recommendations by researchers to replace sponges weekly.

Can I use the sponge with any type of cleaning products? +

Yes, but keep in mind some products, such as those that contain bleach, may cause the sponge to discolor. Some cleaning products with high acidity levels can cause disintegration of the foam and separation of the layers. Dishwashing soap with high levels of surfactants can impact the efficacy of the antimicrobial agent resulting in odor.

How do I order Skura sponges for an office? +

Skura sponges are ideal for the work environment. Please email us at info@skurastyle.com and let us know what your office requirements are.

Are Skura Style sponges safe to use on any surface? +

Skura Style sponges are safe on a wide range of kitchen surfaces, including ceramic plates, glassware, porcelain and stainless-steel sinks, laminate and chrome. They will not scratch pans, pots and utensils with non-stick coated surfaces. However, we recommend that you test first on an inconspicuous area.

Can I purchase just one color per package? +

Not yet, but check back with us as we are working to add that feature.

Where are Skura Style sponges made? +

We’re proud to say that Skura Style sponges are made in the USA.

Can Skura Style sponges be recycled? +

In partnership with Terracyle, retired Skura Style sponges can be given a new and purposeful second life. When you do your part by sending your used Skura sponges to Terracyle, they will be processed into a material mixture that can be used for a variety of new product applications, from playground equipment to outdoor furniture.

Can I use this sponge in my aquarium? +

No. They are not for aquarium use.

How do I clean or sanitize my Skura sponge? +

We recommend rinsing and squeezing dry after each use to help keep a sponge fresh. Skura Style sponges can be cleaned in the dishwasher. Microwaving is not recommended. Remember that the Fade-to-Change® technology is an indicator that it is time to replace your sponge and practice good sponge hygiene.

How does the subscription work? +

There are no contracts or long-term commitments. Your first order begins your subscription of Skura Style sponges arriving to your door based on the plan you select. There are two plans:
Live to Scrub: One four-pack sent every month for those who want to replace their sponge weekly
Love to Scrub: One four-pack every other month for those who want to replace every two weeks

How do I determine which plan is better for me? +

The What Kind of Scrubber Are You quiz on our website can help identify which plan is best for you. Most people should change their sponge weekly, but it depends on your frequency of use.

Can I make a one-time purchase of sponges? +

Skura Style sponges can be purchased in bulk on our website. Our Never Dirty Dozen package of 12 sponges is $36 and our Clean Sixteen package of 16 sponges is $48. Single packages of sponges are available on Amazon for $14.99 and are Prime eligible.

Where do you ship? +

We ship to addresses in all 50 states in the US. We do not ship to Puerto Rico, Guam, the US Virgin Islands, APO addresses, Saipan and other international addresses yet. We can accommodate some special orders. Please inquire on the Contact Us form.

How much are Skura Style sponges? +

Subscription plan shipments are $12.00 per four pack.
Never Dirty Dozen Stock-up package of 12 sponges is $36.00.
Clean Sixteen Stock-up package of 16 sponges is $48.00.

What types of payment do you accept? +

MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover credit cards are accepted. We also accept PayPal.

When will my credit card be charged? +

You will be billed every four weeks for the Live to Scrub monthly plan and every eight weeks for the Love to Scrub every other month plan. You will be billed in full as a one-time charge for all Gift subscriptions.

What if my credit card is declined? +

If your credit card is declined, we will notify you via email. You can update your credit card on your Account page to keep your sponges coming.

What if I want to make a change or update my credit card? +

You can update your credit card on your Account page. Changes need to be made 72 hours prior to your next charge date.

How do I cancel my subscription? +

Simply access your Account on skurastyle.com to unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe up to 72 hours before your next shipment to ensure the cancelation is applied. Alternatively, you can always send us a message from our contact us page.

Can I pause my subscription? +

Yes. It’s easy. Simply access your Account page and indicate that you wish to pause. You can choose a date to automatically restart your shipments or you can choose to pause indefinitely. Then let us know when you want to start up again. You need to let us know up to 72 hours before your next order for us to pause your service.

If I am a subscriber, can I purchase additional packages? +

Yes. Please contact us on the Contact Us form.

Can I give Skura sponges as a gift? +

Yes. Skura sponges are an ideal gift! Gifts can be given as a subscription or as a single Stock-up purchase. Just indicate "Gift" when you make your selection.

How will I be charged for my gift? +

All gift orders are charged in full for the sponge plan you select plus applicable shipping and taxes.

Is there a gift message? +

You can provide a gift message during the checkout process. This message will be included with the first shipment to the gift recipient.

How will you use my personal information? +

What if I can't log in or have forgotten my password? +

Just click the ‘forgot password’ link on the login page and you will be directed on how to reset your password.

Can I unsubscribe from emails? +

All promotional emails that Skura Style sends you include a link to unsubscribe from future emails.

How do promo codes work? +

A code must be entered at checkout to be eligible for discount in the promo box. Customer pays shipping and applicable taxes. Offer only available for first time customers and first shipment. Codes cannot be combined with any other code. Codes can only be used once by a customer. We reserve the right to decline offer in event of offer abuse.

How many sponges come in a package? +

Each individual package contains four sponges.

Where do you ship? +

We ship to addresses in all 50 states in the US. We do not ship to Puerto Rico, Guam, the US Virgin Islands, APO addresses, Saipan and other international addresses yet. We can accommodate some special orders. Please inquire on the Contact Us form.

Do you charge for shipping? +

Single Stock-up purchases qualify for free shipping.

Subscription shipments are charged a nominal $1.25 handling fee.

Shipping and handling fees for promotional offers may vary.

All gift subscriptions ship free.

Can I indicate different shipping methods? +

For subscriptions it is not necessary for you to request and pay extra for expedited shipping. Our process ensures sponges arrive to your plan schedule. Shipments are timed to arrive every four weeks for Live to Scrub plan and every eight weeks for Love to Scrub plan. Overnight delivery options are not available at this time.

Expedited delivery is not available for Stock-up orders (single purchase).

What if my order does not arrive? +

You can check your current shipment through your Tracking number which can be found on your Account page. If this does not provide the information you are looking for, you can send us a message on the Contact Us form.

What is your return policy? +

Subscription Plans: first shipments are eligible for a full refund and no return is required. Request for refund can be made through info@skurastyle.com. Second shipments and beyond are not eligible for a refund. You can, however, cancel or pause future orders on your Account page after your first shipment. Notification must be received 72 hours prior to your next shipment for cancellation or pausing.

Stock-up packages: Unopened four packs from Never Dirty Dozen or Clean Sixteen are eligible for refund. Packages will be inspected to ensure sponges have not been used. Packages must be in saleable condition. Returns must be made within 30 days of purchase. Customer is responsible for paying return shipping charges. Unopened packages, along with customer name, address, phone and reason for returning should be sent to Skura Style, 200 Forsyth Hall Dr. Suite E, Charlotte, NC 28273.

How do I change my address? +

You can change your shipping address on your Account page. If you have difficulty with this you can notifiy us on the Contact Us form.

How do I skip an order delivery? +

Simply access your Account page and access the Pause button. Choose the date to restart your shipments. You need to let us know up to 72 hours before your next order for us to skip your shipment.
