What does Skura mean? +

The word skura is Swedish for "scour" or "scrub". The Skura Style brand is inspired by Scandinavian design sensibility which embraces the idea of clean, modern, and happy.

What are the materials in a Skura Style sponge? +

Skura Style sponges are a combination of a foam base that is highly absorbent with excellent wipe-dry performance, a premium non-abrasive coating for scouring, and an antimicrobial agent in the foam and scouring coating that inhibits the growth of odor-causing bacteria, mold and mildew.

What does the antimicrobial agent do? +

The antimicrobial agent that is built into sponge and scrubber during manufacturing provides product protection against the growth of odor-causing bacteria, mold, and mildew. Skura Style sponges and VERY™ SKRUBBY scouring pads do not protect users or others from food-borne or disease-causing bacteria.

How often should I change my Skura Style sponge? +

Skura sponges are designed with a Fade-to-Change® technology that tells you when it’s time to replace your sponge. Depending on the frequency of use, the printed Skura Style monogram will begin to fade as an indicator that it’s time to replace your sponge. Replacement is recommended every one to two weeks.

How quickly should I expect the monogram to fade? +

The monogram fades with use. It depends on the number of times you use your sponge. Most households will experience a Fade-to-Change® indication at about one to two weeks. However, scouring coarse items and crusty baked foods can accelerate the fade. The Fade-to-Change® technology was determined based on recommendations by leading microbiologists to replace sponges weekly.

Can I use the Skura sponge or VERY™ SKRUBBY scouring pad with any type of cleaning product? +

Yes, but some cleaning products with high acidity levels can cause disintegration of the foam and separation of the layers. Dishwashing soap with high levels of surfactants can impact the efficacy of the antimicrobial agent resulting in odor. Keep in mind some products, such as those that contain bleach, may cause the sponge to discolor.

Are Skura Style sponges and VERY™ SKRUBBY scouring pads safe to use on any surface? +

Skura Style sponges are safe on a wide range of kitchen surfaces, including ceramic plates, glassware, porcelain and stainless-steel sinks, laminate and chrome. They will not scratch pans, pots and utensils with non-stick coated surfaces.

Do not use VERY™ SKRUBBY scouring pad on non-stick cookware, carbon steel pots and pans, stainless steel appliances, fine crystal, and china.

We always recommend that you test on an inconspicuous area first.

Can I purchase just one color of sponge per package +

Not yet, but check back with us as we are working to add that feature.

Can I use my Skura sponge or VERY™ SKRUBBY scouring pad in my aquarium? +

No. They are not for aquarium use.

How do I clean or sanitize my Skura sponge and VERY™ SKRUBBY scouring pad? +

We recommend rinsing and squeezing dry after each use to help them stay fresh. They can be cleaned in the dishwasher. Microwaving is not recommended.

Remember that the Fade-to-Change® technology on the Skura sponge is an indicator that it is time to replace your sponge and practice good sponge hygiene.

Can I wash the WIPE™ ENVY microfiber cloths? +

Wash in your machine or by hand. Tumble dry on low setting.

How do I wash TOWEL TA-DA!™? +

Machine wash cold with like colors. Do not bleach.

How does the Skura Style sponge subscription work? +

There are no contracts or long-term commitments. There are two plans:
Live to Scrub: One four-pack sent every month for those who want to replace their sponge weekly
Love to Scrub: One four-pack every other month for those who want to replace every two weeks

You will be billed every four weeks for the Live to Scrub monthly plan and every eight weeks for the Love to Scrub every other month plan.

If you are giving a one year gift subscription, you will be billed in full as a one-time charge.

How do I determine which plan is better for me? +

The What Kind of Scrubber Are You quiz on our website can help identify which plan is best for you. Most people should change their sponge weekly, but it depends on your frequency of use.

How much are Skura Style sponges? +

Subscription plan shipments are $12.00 per four pack.
Never Dirty Dozen Stock-up package of 12 sponges is $36.00.
Clean Sixteen Stock-up package of 16 sponges is $48.00.

What if my credit card is declined? +

If your credit card is declined for your subscription, we will notify you via email. You can update your credit card on your Account page to keep your sponges coming.

How do I change or update my credit card? +

Follow these steps to update your credit card:

From a desktop or laptop:
1. First, log into your account at skurastyle.com
2. Choose Manage Subscriptions (underneath "Account Details")
3. Choose Payment Methods (from the gray bar at the top)
4. Add New Payment Method - enter your new cc information (keep scrolling to enter billing address, then click on "Add New Payment Method")
5. To designate this updated credit card as your new payment method: Choose Shipping (from the gray bar at the top)
6. Choose Change Payment Method and assign your new card to the active subscription

From a mobile device:

1. Log into your account at skurastyle.com
2. Scroll down to the bottom and select Manage Subscriptions
3. From the drop-down menu at the top, choose “Payment Methods”
4. Add your new credit card information
5. Now, you must designate this payment method as the one to be associated with your subscription, so select your new credit card and choose “Move Subscriptions”

How do I skip a sponge subscription order delivery? +

Access your Account page and indicate that you wish to skip your next sponge delivery. This will not cancel your account. The following shipment after the skipped one will be delivered on its regular scheduled time based on your subscription plan.

Can I pause my subscription? +

Yes. It’s easy. Simply access Account page and indicate that you wish to cancel. Your account remains active but you will not receive sponges. You can cancel up to 72 hours before your next shipment. When you want to restart your sponge delivery, simply access your Account page and indicate you wish to reactivate your account.

How do I cancel my subscription? +

Simply access your Account on skurastyle.com to unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe up to 72 hours before your next shipment to ensure the cancelation is applied. Alternatively, you can always send us a message from our contact us page.

Can Skura Style products be recycled? +

In partnership with Terracyle, retired Skura Style sponges, Very Skrubby scouring pads, and Wipe Envy microfiber cloths along with their packaging can be given a new and purposeful second life. When you do your part by sending your used Skura sponges and scouring pads to Terracyle, they will be processed into a material mixture that can be used for a variety of new product applications, from playground equipment to outdoor furniture. To participate go to Terracycle website to register. Program is only available in the USA.

What types of payment do you accept? +

MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover credit cards are accepted. We also accept PayPal and Apple Pay.

If I am a sponge subscriber, can I purchase an additional four-pack of packages? +

Yes. Please contact us on the Contact Us form.

Can I give Skura products as a gift? +

Yes. Skura sponges are an ideal gift!

Sponges can be given as a one year subscription or as a single stock-up purchase. Just indicate "Gift" when you make your selection. Sponge subscription gifts will be charged in full for the plan you selected.

How do I change the email address on my account? +

Simply reach out to us at info@skurastyle.com and let us know your old and new email addresses. We will be happy to make the change for you.

What if I can't log in or have forgotten my password? +

Just click the ‘forgot password’ link on the login page and you will be directed on how to reset your password.

Can I unsubscribe to emails? +

All promotional emails that Skura Style sent to you include a link to unsubscribe from future emails.

How do promo codes work? How do I use a promo code? +

Enter the code at checkout. Only one promo code per transaction. Codes cannot be combined. We reserve the right to decline an offer in event of offer abuse. Promo codes are not applicable toward already discounted products.

Where can I leave a review of Skura products? +

Do you have Gift Cards or Gift Certificates? +

Yes, we offer the Scrubs & Hugs eGift Card which is
delivered via email. 

There is no expiration date on a Scrubs & Hugs eGift Card. They can be used any time.

Scrubs & Hugs eGift Cards are not refundable. Any unused balance from a purchase can be applied to a future purchase on skurastyle.com.

Yes, Eva is a co-owner and is actively involved in all aspects of the company including being a brand ambassador, developing new product and creative

Shipping Information

Where do you ship? +

We ship to addresses in all 50 states in the US. We do not ship to Puerto Rico, Guam, the US Virgin Islands, Saipan and other international addresses yet. We can accommodate some special orders. Please inquire on the Contact Us form.

Do you charge for shipping? +

Orders over $50.00 ship free. For orders under $50, a flat shipping rate of $4.75 is applied. Sponge subscription orders, when not combined with another purchase to total $50.00 are charged a nominal $2.75. Recurring subscription shipments are charged $2.75.

Can I indicate different shipping methods? +

Expedited delivery is not available.

What do I do if I'm having trouble with my tracking number? +

Sometimes the carrier takes 1-2 business days to register your shipment status. If your tracking number isn’t updating or working at all, feel free to reach out to us at info@skurastyle.com. We will be sure to send you the inside info.

How do I order Skura sponges for commercial use? +

Skura sponges are ideal for the work environment. Please email us at info@skurastyle.com and let us know what your office requirements are.

I am a retailer. How do I go about carrying Skura Style products? +

What is your return policy? +

Subscription Plans:

First shipments are eligible for a full refund and no return is required. Request for refund can be made through info@skurastyle.com. Second shipments and beyond are not eligible for a refund. You can, however, cancel or pause future orders on your Account page after your first shipment. Notification must be received 72 hours prior to your next shipment for cancellation or pausing.

Gift subscriptions are not refundable.

Non-Subscribers:

Unopened/unused four-packs of sponges, Very Skrubby, Wipe Envy, Towel Ta-Da! are all eligible for a refund within 30 days of receiving your item(s). Returned items will be inspected to ensure that they are unused, and in saleable condition. Customer should package unwanted items with name, address, phone and reason for returning to Skura Style, 200 Forsyth Hall Drive, Suite E, Charlotte, NC 28273. (Skura Style is not responsible for return shipping cost.) For any assistance, reach out to us at info@skurastyle.com.

What if my order does not arrive? +

You can check your current shipment through your Tracking number which can be found on your Account page. If this does not provide the information you are looking for, you can send us a message on the Contact Us form.

How do I change my address? +

Follow these steps to update your address:

From a desktop or laptop:

1. Choose Manage Subscriptions (underneath Account Details)
2. Choose Shipping Addresses (from the gray bar at the top)
3. Select Add shipping address
4. Now, you must designate this address as the current on associated with your account, so choose Subscriptions and click on your active subscription
5. Scroll down to Shipping & billing, and choose the shipping/billing pair you’d like to use

From a mobile device:

1. Choose Account
2. Select Manage Subscriptions (at the bottom)
3. From the drop-down menu at top, choose Shipping Addresses
4. Add shipping address
5. Choose the payment method associated with this address
6. Go to Subscriptions and choose Shipping & billing
7. Select your new address and billing pair
